Workstations, especially working computers are the first tools Class IT customers use and ensuring their functionality and security is an essential task for our system administrators.
This week, the Star Team Academy course addressed the theme of workstations security, offering participants a number of features and information relevant to IT security.
Among the topics, there were listed and discussed the workstations security procedures (passwords, encryption, USB lock, firewall) and the users security (types and user rights, restricting rights on folders). In terms of control rights for users, the discussion was carried by local policies and domain groups to which concrete examples were added.
The last topic of this course was troubleshooting, showing the most frequently encountered problems by users.
