“When we are right, it’s better to try to win people gently and tactfully to our way of thinking and when we are wrong – and this happens surprisingly often, if we are honest with ourselves – to admit mistakes immediately and enthusiastically. This technique will not only produce amazing results, but it is much more pleasant, in such circumstances, than trying to defend yourself. “Secrets of Success, Dale Carnegie
Recognizing our own mistakes to others helps us to solve the problem much easier and removes the guilt air around us. Thus we are able to gain respect and we are able to more quickly find solution in order to resolve a certain situation.
It’s easy to throw the blame on somebody else and absolve us, but what is the purpose of this attitude? In this way, we will never succeed being efficient and finding the best way to solve a situation, but we will stay deadlock. On the other hand, when we become aware of our own actions and state them in front of others, they will be more concessive and will be willing to help us. Furthermore, we can always learn from our own mistakes – good or bad things, that can guide us in our future actions.
